Spam Gate offers an effective solution to a problem threatening global internet communication; e-mail Spam. Our method of Spam elimination is a simple yet highly effective system: E-Mail validation.
Simply put, few spammers ever provide AUTHENTIC reply-to addresses. This is how they avoid detection and defeat most methods of e-mail filtering! When anyone sends an e-mail to a Spam Gate account, they recieve a ONE TIME automated reply; unless this email is validated by being replied to FROM THE SAME ADDRESS, no further e-mail from that address will be delivered to your Inbox. Once validated, this address is added to a SAFE-LIST and the original email is then forwarded to your Inbox. All subsequent e-mail from this address passes through without challenge -- UNLESS it is removed from the SAFE-LIST and added to your BLACK-LIST.
Server side filters may be easily set up for such things as E-Lists, Newsletters, PayPal notifications, etc. Both a web-based and standalone desktop interface are available to manage and maintain SAFE- and BLACK-LISTS and filters. You have COMPLETE CONTROL over who can and who CAN'T access your Inbox!
Legislation and service provider policies are clearly powerless to protect our most valuable online communication resource. Spam threatens to diminish its effectiveness, if not render it USELESS.
