ExactSeek Implements Alexa-Based Ranking Algorithm Across Search Engine Network

of a user popularity based ranking algorithm based on Alexa Internet
site data in mid-October of last year, ExactSeek.com implemented its
new ranking algorithm across five other search engine sites that it
owns or powers.

and site owners will come to value search results that are based on user
popularity data. "Link popularity, keyword density and content relevancy
are subject to manipulation," Strocen stated. "Google's recent algorithm
update which caught so many search engine professionals and online

The use of Alexa data is not the only example of out-of-the-box thinking
demonstrated by the folks at Jayde. A new paid inclusion program
recently launched by ExactSeek provides advertisers with a Google-type
ad box and better than PPC exposure across its search engine network,
all at flat fee rates that undercut Inktomi and other paid inclusion
engines. "The search engine industry is saturated with PPC engines,"
Strocen remarked. "What we need to see are paid inclusion programs that
offer advertisers more than the promise of fast indexing and that
provide an inexpensive alternative to expensive PPC programs."
Strocen went on to say that in the coming months Jayde Online plans to
capture a greater share of the search engine market by adding to its
search engine network and by partnering with other high traffic websites
and search engines.
