Eyeblaster Expands Marketing Department with Two Key Hires

Industry Pundit Masha Geller to Spearhead Marketing Efforts; Doug Miller to Head New Creative Services Department

January 19, 2004 (New York) – Eyeblaster, the leader in rich media advertising delivery and management, today announced the addition of two new staffers to its marketing department, as well as the formation of a Creative Services department. The company has named Masha Geller and Doug Miller to the Marketing Director and Creative Director positions, respectively.

Geller had been the Editor in Chief at MediaPost Communications, publisher of MediaDailyNews and MEDIA Magazine’s online and traditional media editions. In her four years in the role, she created and wrote the “Just an Online Minute” daily column, read by more than 20,000 members of the online advertising industry. She also introduced 11 new publishing products covering all aspects of the interactive and traditional media, advertising and marketing industries and managed the staff of reporters, columnists and freelancers.

Additionally, she recently served as the Managing Editor at MarketingWonk, and co-moderator of the OldTimers List. She has frequently spoken at leading industry conferences and serves on the Ad:Tech advisory board.

“Masha posses a unique perspective and understanding of the online advertising industry garnered from her years of experience as a journalist covering the space,” noted Gal Trifon, CEO. “Her intimate knowledge of the products and players in the market, as well as her ability to identify and clearly communicate core competencies and competitive advantages will give a huge boost to Eyeblaster’s position as the leader in rich media.”

Reporting to Paul Kadin, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Strategy, Geller’s role will encompass all marketing and communications activities including enhancing marketing plans and activities to increase exposure to clients and constituents, development of promotional branding efforts for Eyeblaster’s products and services, as well as overseeing the creation and delivery of marketing and communications collateral.

Eyeblaster has also named Doug Miller as Creative Director, responsible for creative projects for the company and its clients, as well as leading the Creative Services department. In this newly created position, also reporting to Kadin, Miller will be charged with invigorating the company’s corporate image, providing creative consulting for clients and evangelizing the creative possibilities of Eyeblaster Platform with support from his Creative Services department.

Before joining Eyeblaster, Miller was the Creative Director and founder of CUBiC digital, an interactive advertising consultancy whose client list was comprised of some of the most respected names in the industry, including TBWA/Chiat/Day, Hill Holiday, and FCBi. Prior to founding CUBic, Miller held Associate Creative Director and Art Director positions at i-traffic and Ogilvy One, respectively, creating compelling campaigns for the world’s leading brands such as British Airways, Disney, ESPN and IBM.

The Creative Services department will offer creative consulting and support to all of Eyeblaster’s clients at media agencies, creative shops and publishers alike. Bringing added value to Eyeblaster clients beyond the features of the product, the newly formed department will be a go-to source for creative best practices, concepts, mock-ups and demos, and aiding clients in discovering the creative potential of the Platform.

“Good creative is the most important factor in driving a campaign’s success. Our creative services team will help clients with concepts, best practices and advice on how to take advantage of rich media technologies,” said Kadin. “Doug brings the insight and experience to help Eyeblaster clients maximize the potential of the Platform and realize their creative visions to the fullest.”
